What kind of personal data do we collect and why?

As you can see in our online reservation form, we collect, store, process and use information related to you that directly or indirectly identify you (“personal data”), as defined in Art 4(1) of the Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (the “GDPR”). Let we explain which ones and why?

  1. First and last name: we need this to make a reservation on your behalf. If we got only your name there could be a mixup - you know, two Harvey’s or two Leilas who want the bike. Usually we have enough bikes, but it is easier this way.

  2. E-mail: we need the email to reply to your reservation in case we don’t have enough bikes and other equipment on your selected days.

  3. Date and time: you have to tell us the dates otherwise we can not check if our bikes and other equipment is available on your selected days. If we know the hour it is easier to plan on which hours there will be the most rents on a particular day.

  4. No. of bikes: the same as for the dates, we need to know for how many people are you making the reservation, so we can check if we have available bikes and other equipment on the selected day.

  5. Extras: we offer also other equipment and we need to know in advance which one do you need because we have a limited amount of it.
